Love is patient; love is kind;
love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;

 it does not rejoice in wrongdoing,
but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13.4-7

   Saint Andrew’s is the perfect setting for a wedding…….

……...... with its glorious chancel and screen and beautiful Victorian architecture. Its setting on Ham Common, adjacent to Richmond Park and near to the Thames all adds to a sense of beauty and occasion, and is an inspiration to worship.

The building holds 300 people comfortably in the nave and another 100 in the South Aisle. There is a soundproofed children’s corner and a toilet inside the church.

 A marriage service…..

…….. wherever it is held, is a public declaration of love and commitment to your partner.

     If you choose to get married in church, there is an added dimension – the assurance that God cares about your relationship and that his resources and strength are available to help you. Including God in you marriage doesn’t mean that you will avoid all the usual ups and downs, but you will know that you can look to God for help and guidance and that his love will sustain you

Q: Can I get married at Saint Andrew’s?

A: You are entitled to be married at Saint Andrew’s if this is the parish where one or both of you live. If you live outside the parish, it is possible to be married here if you are an active, worshipping member.

If Saint Andrew’s is not your parish church, then to be married here it will be necessary for you to go onto the Parish Electoral Roll. To do this you will be expected to attend services for six months in order to go onto the roll.

Marriage Preparation

     From the outset you would agree to meet with the officiating minister on two or three occasions to plan the ceremony.  These will usually be weekday daytime meetings. In addition to this there will be an evening rehearsal near to the date of the wedding.

     There is also provision for more in depth marriage preparation for those who would like to explore how their relationship can deepen and grow.
